Antique 9ct Gold Portrait Cameo Brooch Circa 1910

A beautiful antique 9ct gold cameo brooch with decorative yellow gold frame set with pearls, circa 1910. A fine quality cameo brooch beautifully carved showing, in relief, a defined female portrait with layered detail. The cameo is neatly set and beautifully framed with an ornate openwork design of scrolls and gold balls. The outer edge is decorated with 4 pearls to give a unique and classy finish.

The piece is offered in very clean condition and in good order for a piece of such age. The carving is crisp and shows little sign of wear. The steel pin slots neatly into a C type clasp with a springy firmness.
