This antique 9ct rose gold brooch is decorated with turquoise and seed pearls arranged in two delicate shamrock motifs, set amongst sweeping scrollwork and decorative gold detailing.

The elongated bar design has a warm rose-gold tone and beautifully detailed construction. Two three-leaf shamrock motifs sit towards either end, each combining a round turquoise with two seed pearls. Across the centre, a flowing ribbon-like scroll is finished with graduated gold bead decoration, while curled flourishes and rounded finials complete each end.

The brooch retains its traditional steel pin fitting, extending almost the full length of the piece. Its relatively light weight for its size suggests hollow or hollow-formed construction, typical of many pieces of antique gold jewellery.

Condition: Good antique pre-owned condition with age-related surface wear and patination, particularly to the reverse, consistent with its age. The decorative rose gold front remains attractive, with the turquoise and pearls providing lovely contrasting colour. The original steel pin is slightly loose/floppy and the C-shaped catch has lost a little of its original shape, so the pin requires a slight adjustment when securing it into the catch. It remains functional and this is consistent with the age and construction of the brooch. Please examine the professional photographs closely, as they form part of the condition description.
