This pre-owned Georgian amethyst cameo tie pin has now found a new home and is no longer available. We keep sold pieces on our website for reference and inspiration, as we regularly acquire similar antique and pre-loved jewellery.

This elegant antique tie pin features a beautifully carved amethyst cameo depicting a female portrait, set within a delicate 14ct gold oval frame. The 9ct gold pin complements the design, while the finely carved translucent amethyst displays an attractive colour shift when viewed in different light, highlighting the exceptional craftsmanship of the Georgian period.

Presented in lovely pre-loved condition, this rare piece is supplied with its original fitted antique presentation box with a blue inner lining. Although the cameo setting is not hallmarked, it has been professionally tested and confirmed to be at least 14ct gold, while the pin has also been tested as 9ct gold. The pin incorporates a traditional spiral section to provide additional strength.

Considering its age, this piece is in remarkable condition. The amethyst cameo displays crisp carving without any signs of damage or wear. No repairs have been made to the pin. The 9ct pin has a slight curve. While the antique box's inner lining is slightly loose, we have kept it as found.
